Stills from ‘Something Like Summer’
FIRST CLIP Following up on the tremendous success of Something Like Summer‘s trailer, Blue Seraph Productions released the first clip from the movie, just ahead of its West Coast Premiere at FilmOut San Diego.

In the first part of the 1:46 clip, Ben (Grant Davis) and Tim (Davi Santos) compare life from opposite sides of a bathtub. In the second, Ben tackles the up and downs of love in the song, “Shadow,” written by rising recording artist John Patrick.

Singer-composer John Patrick and his song, ‘Shadow,’ made the cover of Entertwine.
The song is one of seven classic and original songs performed in the film, arranged and orchestrated by Cian McCarthy, musical director of “The Book of Mormon” on Broadway.

COVER STORY Patrick, and his song, “Shadow,” were recently profiled in an Entertwine Magazine cover story. He was on hand to introduce the song at Something Like Summer‘s North American premiere in March at Philadelphia’s qFLIX festival.

Patrick told Entertwine about how he composed the song, and the path it took to find its way into the film’s soundtrack.
